QUEEN’s Last Night

Song drama by Frank Matthus and Jochen Kilian (world premiere)

The good old department store QUEEN's has to close. Even the slogan "With us, customers are queens" no longer resonated. Wistfully, the night porter makes his rounds after the last day of sales and lingers, as he does every evening, with the mannequins, his "queens". His heart belongs to them, they were and are his life. Before he sinks completely into the sorrow of parting, the world around him begins to change and fantastic things happen.

The music of the British cult band QUEEN is at the heart of this musical-scenic evening developed by Frank Matthus and Jochen Kilian. The ensemble's polyphonic live singing is accompanied by Jochen Kilian on the piano.
