In a deeply poetic montage, Amir Gudarzi (WONDERWOMB) combines scenes of European isolationist policies and the effects of global ideologies.

While he begins by describing the life of a female minesweeper, we are drawn into a red and black river of destruction, immerse ourselves in mythological worlds, encounter Odysseus and Daedalus and are confronted with the question: Where is our tortured body, our landscape beyond death?

The winner of the 2022 Christian Dietrich Grabbe Prize artfully interweaves various narrative strands and builds a complex web of global power relations. The most diverse tortured bodies have their say.

We also approach Heiner Müller's BILDBESCHREIBUNG in the form of a poetic correspondence and an attempt at a metaphorical reference context. Another text full of poetry and destruction. An experimental arrangement. An arrangement of hope.

For all people aged 14 and over who love the power of poetic images, want to resist death and are certain that it will not have the last word.
