The pop-up concerts are the surprise package at Festival Out Of The Box 2025. Nobody knows exactly what will happen - not even the artistic director. The basic principle of the festival is the encounter. At the pop-up concerts, all artists who happen to be on site at the time are invited to take part. They rehearse together for a day and create a spontaneous program consisting of improvisation, interaction and the artistic source material of THE RESONANCE OF TIME's programs.
The audience will witness a unique artistic encounter in this form.

At Pop-Up #3, singer Sissel Vera Pettersen from Trondheim Voices and sound artist Ben Miller, among others, will come together in the installation "The Reservoir of Sounds". Pettersen improvises and interacts with the immersive sound installation, which captures and reflects the festival events to date.

The Dome / The Reservoir of Sounds

Sound installation and concert venue in one: The "Dome", a 360-degree immersive audio environment in the whiteBOX, will be open to visitors and visitors for three festival weeks. Live performances, electronic sounds and recordings of the concerts taking place throughout Bavaria will mingle here to create a constantly growing, daily changing sound environment. These will be complemented by collected memories from the "Body of Memory" project. This ever-changing remix is compiled by sound artist Ben Miller.

About the festival:

What does "cultural heritage" mean? What do we remember? What makes us distinctive? The festival Out Of The Box from January 11 to February 2, 2025 is entitled "The Resonance of Time". For three weeks, the festival will be a place of debate and exchange at 13 venues in Bavaria in over 40 events to approach these questions artistically. "The Resonance Of Time" is a journey towards identity, memory and diversity. Six concert programs, including four world premieres and one German premiere, will be complemented by a diverse additional program.
