Poetry Slam On The Docks

In the organizer's words:

Welcome to the Poetry Slam! In other words: the best thing that can happen to live literature. Even after more than 25 years of slam culture in Germany, poetry slam is one thing above all: magic! Whether it's rousing poetry, humorous storytelling or a political statement - the poetry slam has everything that stimulates the synapses, tickles the ear canals and invites you to laugh, think or simply get angry.

The legendary Livelyrix Poetry Slam has been taking place in the Dresden Scheune every month since 2005. While the barn is being renovated, the slam will drop anchor on the banks of the Elbe and find a cozy new home at the THEATERKAHN. Everything else remains as spectacular as ever. Saxony's best slammers and up-and-coming local poets meet the stars of the German-language slam scene.

In the end, the audience will decide who is best able to succeed in this competition of words.
