In the organizer's words:

A warm invitation to the Living Advent Calendar

Over the past two years, we have invited citizens from Schildesche and beyond to come together at various locations to design old chairs that they have brought or provided. We have embroidered, painted, sprayed or glued - over 60 unique chairs for young and old have been created. During the Advent season, citizens, initiatives, associations and communities place 24 of the designed chairs in front of their doors. Behind each chair is an activity to take a seat, meet and get together.

Come along and take a seat. No previous experience is required for the individual events. If you have any special needs or concerns, please let us know. Let yourself be enchanted by the places and their respective free events:

The event is being organized in cooperation with the Schildesche Round Table, the AWO district association, the UW Schildesche, the Evangelical Lutheran Church Schildesche, the HELLi district facility, the Turngemeinde Schildesche 05 e. V., the Schildesche district library, the literature circle of the Schildesche Citizens' Forum, the EvangelicalMethodist Church, DSK Deutsche Stadt- und Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, Verein für Lebensgestaltung und Altersfragen e.V., Huchzemeier-Stift Schildesche, Sozialwerk Philippus e. V., DEKRA Akademie Toys Company, Interessengemeinschaft Recovery College Bielefeld, Treffpunkt Stapelbrede der GfS and Rudolf-Steiner-Schule Bielefeld.

The "Quartier_Gestalten" project runs in cooperation with the actors of the Schildescher Runder Tisch, a network of various cultural and social organizations, initiatives and individuals coordinated by the AWO neighborhood office. Actors from the neighboring neighborhoods such as the neighborhood offices in Lehmstich, Kamphof and southern Jöllenbeck are also involved.
