PKIII

In the organizer's words:

PKIII is a postmodern electro-acoustic trio consisting of the young creatives Paul Küppers, Ursula Wienken and Joshua Knauber. Together they explore the infinite facets of danceable, improvised music by merging genres in a unique and interactive way. Through shared musical interests and a fundamental stylistic openness, PKIII creates their music based on different musical languages and traditions, ranging from Afro-Cuban rhythms to UK garage and hip-hop grooves, late-romantic harmonic styles and avant-garde explorations. While they continue to pay respect to these musical traditions, their aim is to sound fresh and futuristic.

With "we're big fans", the trio releases their debut album: a collection of music that goes through all emotions, blends styles and captivates with radical honesty.

PKIII has so far mainly played in Cologne, but organized the concert series "MODERN MUSIC" at hopla.kalk in Cologne Kalk from August '23 - August '24 as a project to promote music and culture in the socially deprived district.
