PITCH! DER KAMPF UMS BUDGET

In the organizer's words:

Nothing works without money - and you always have to convince a sponsor. Some are better at it than others...

This show is about the fine art of pitching, i.e. presenting your idea quickly and catchily so that someone will invest. Four up-and-coming directors outdo each other with their ideas, using all their powers of persuasion, their imagination and their liveliness to sell their story, while a producer sits comfortably on a chair and sips a cold drink. The audience helps decide whose idea should be realized.

The directors have to spontaneously develop a story from the audience's suggestions and get their actors up to speed. They invent effects, twists and great emotions. They create the scenes live on stage in front of the audience, they pile up and fight for their vision.

The special thing: The chosen film idea is actually shot and edited the next day with a professional film crew. It forms the first part of the film, which is shot during the Fliegende Funken Festival. All viewers can sign up for a list and are then named in the credits under "Director"!
