Pink Palace presents Pink Christmas

In the organizer's words:

Pink Palace is finally conquering the Advent season. Because the TMD has the impression that Christmas deserves a new color: Pink! Two cinematic highlights will be presented for the first Pink Christmas. To kick off the evening, the Anneliese Cruschwitz show is an exclusive find from 1977, in which the dancers of the Ballett am Rhein under the direction of Wolfgang Enck come together in the best travesty. The absolute highlight is the premiere of If it were us - a dance video by Kauan Soares, co-produced by TMD. Afterwards, guests are invited to relax and linger in a kitschy Christmas atmosphere in the Pink Palace. Gingerbread cookies can be decorated while enjoying good drinks, there is the opportunity to explore the special exhibition Excellent Footwork by solving puzzles and you can sing Christmas karaoke. Ho, ho, ho!

The Anneliese Cruschwitz Show
Dance and travesty film by Wolfgang Enck
In 1977, the dancers of the Ballett am Rhein came together for Die Anneliese-Cruschwitz-Show to create a legendary memorial to the broadcasts of singer Anneliese Rothenberger. The dancers perform here as ladylike opera singers, bitchy ballet divas and half-naked young men, providing all the ingredients for a great travesty show. The film is now being presented for the first time - and finally! - at the Theatermuseum.

If it were us
Dance video by Kauan Soares
Inspired by Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet music and the architecture of the Hofgartenhaus, choreographer Kauan Soares has created a sensitive dance video, If It Were Us , which tells of the affection between two couples. The movements of the dancers in the rooms of the Hofgartenhaus show the longing for the other person and the security of being together.
The video will subsequently become part of the exhibition Exzellente Fußarbeit.

Pimp Your Gingerbread
Gingerbread with chocolate or icing? Glittery glamor or healthy nuts? All guests can design the gingerbread of their choice.

The Eggnog Quest
Object labels in exhibitions are a thing of the past. Pink Palace visitors can now explore the current exhibition Excellent Footwork by solving puzzles.

Christmas Karaoke
The TMD plays the Christmas classics of pop history, the guests share their angelic voices with the audience.
