Resentment is omnipresent - and populists and demagogues continue to fuel it. But what exactly is this phenomenon all about? How does resentment arise, what does it do and how can we counter it? We take a look at this fascinating phenomenon.

A Philosophical Salon usually takes place on the last Wednesday of the month in the Budde House. The focus of the salons is on personal encounters between people and joint dialog and discourse - an open and tolerant culture of listening and discussing. It is an informal meeting to exchange existential, social, political and philosophical questions, ideas and problems. Participation in the salons is open to all interested parties and does not require a degree in philosophy, nor does it require any prior knowledge or engagement with texts.
