Hitchhiking is an unusual way of traveling. But what others do with cars, Kai Echelmeyer has tried with sailing boats, traveling from Spain to the Caribbean and from there throughout Latin America. Always in his luggage: camera, guitar and sociability.
Between dolphin visits, high waves and seaweed, he found out what freedom means to him and collected many tips for more sustainable travel. During his adventures, he also climbed an active volcano and a 6000m high mountain, sailed for several days across the Amazon and saw a giant anaconda that had just eaten a crocodile.
In this special lecture you will hear Kai's own songs, learn an Ecuadorian dance and hear what dozens of travelers told Kai in short interviews.
So come along on Thursday, November 28 at 7:30 pm at Café Fridolin in the BüZe in Ehrenfeld. Admission is free, donations for the Cologne donation convoy and the sea rescue organization Sea-Eye are requested.
