Pep Ventura is a trio consisting of the Essen musicians Christian Ugurel and Patrick Hengst and the Berlin pianist Niko Meinhold. The ensemble unites opposites: it is complex without being complicated, intense without being exhausting, intellectual and yet intuitive. Their own compositions, which go beyond all typical jazz clichés, pave the way for highly interactive trio music in which spaces are created and explored through sensitive improvised interplay.

Marlon Bösherz, a graduate of the Düsseldorf Art Academy, a student of the poet and publicist Durs Grünbein and a master student of the book artist and typographer John Morgan, lives and works in Essen. He has been publishing his poetry in hand-bound art book editions and in various reading formats since 2014. Fusion of the poet with visual art, performance and the counter-research of existing clichés.
