PCCC* - Politically Correct Comedy Club - Queer-Comedy-Night in englischer und deutscher Sprache (Denice Bourbon & friends)

PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:

PCCC*, the Politically Correct Comedy Club,

Welcome to PCCC*, Vienna's first queer comedy club! An evening full of laughs and sharp punchlines - presented by Denice Bourbon & friends. This unique show combines comedy, politics and activism in a way that not only entertains but also challenges.

The shows are in both German and English and are aimed at queer audiences and anyone who appreciates humor beyond clichés. PCCC* stands for "Politically Correct Comedy" - that means: no jokes at the expense of marginalized groups, but all the more satirical attacks against the powerful and oppressors.

Your host: Denice Bourbon
Denice Bourbon is a true icon of the Viennese queer scene. As a performer, singer, stand-up comedienne and activist, she brings humor and politics together. Since founding the PCCC* in 2017, she has made it her mission to bring not only the best jokes but also important social issues closer to the audience.

Friends are on board:

- AnnPhie Oh Fritz: She has many personalities. She is an actress, author, theater teacher, comedienne and barkeeper. A Viennese from Berlin in Ba-Wü. She is neither optimistic nor spiritual, but firmly believes that queer-feminist comedy can save the world. Her soul animal is the bread dumpling. Her first solo program SHANTI SCHATZI will be released in November.
- Anne Johnson: A Californian who moved to the Czech Republic in 1994. Since then she has been trying to get used to the health care, public transportation and the general lack of sunshine and beaches. She tells humorous stories that mix mythology, history, feminism and linguistics. She's usually always right. Her favorite words include petrichor, bittersweet and schadenfreudelicious.
- Flona: fed up with patriarchy and sexism, she takes the stage to show the world a non-white feminist perspective in a humorous and sarcastic way. She can be dark, but gently takes the audience on her journey through life as a comedian who is both a law student and a refugee.

Experience a special kind of comedy evening - funny, queer and political.

Your host: Denice Bourbon
Denice Bourbon is a lesbian/queer feminist performance artist, singer, author, presenter, curator, and stand up comedian. She uses humor and entertainment as an activist tool to draw attention to political issues. In 2017 she co-founded the queer comedy club PCCC*, which she has been running alone since 2020 as a presenter, office genius and comedy mother.
Denice is very loud, prude and pretty decadent.

- AnnPhie Oh Fritz has many personalities. She is an actress, author, drama teacher, comedian and bartender. A Viennese from Berlin in Bawü. She's neither optimistic nor spiritual, but she firmly believes that queer feminist comedy can save the world. Her spirit animal is the Semmelknödel.
Her first solo program SHANTI SCHATZI will be released in November.

- Anne Johnson is a Californian who moved to the Czech Republic in 1994. She's been trying to get used to healthcare, public transportation, and the general absence of sunshine and beaches ever since. She tells humorous stories that mix together mythology, history, feminism, and linguistics. She is usually right about most facts and left in nearly everything else. Her favorite words include petrichor, bittersweet, and schadenfreudelicious.

- Sick of patriarchy and sexism, Flona takes the stage to show the world a non-white feminist perspective in a humorous, sarcastic way.
She can be dark, but takes the audience softly into her life journey as a law studying comedian, who is also a refugee.

Enjoy a special kind of comedy night - funny, queer and political.
