Documentary filmmakers Camilo de Castro Belli and Brad Allgood follow the rangers' fight against the overpowering meat cartel, which exports its products profitably to Western countries.

The gripping documentary by Camilo de Castro Belli & Brad Allgood accompanies a group of indigenous rangers on their patrols in one of the last untouched rainforests in Central America to counter the destruction of the nature reserve by illegal cattle ranchers. Large parts of the rainforest in Nicaragua are being destroyed by illegal cattle ranching. Together with undercover journalist Christopher Jordan, the indigenous Rama and the Afro-descendant Kriol scour the "Indio Maíz" nature reserve in search of illegal settlers. But they make no secret of the fact that they have no interest in stopping the deforestation, as there is a huge demand for Nicaraguan beef, especially in the USA.
