Cologne-based pianist Pablo Held, known for his long-standing trio and collaborations with jazz greats such as John Scofield, Chris Potter and Ralph Towner, brings together some of the most influential voices on the European jazz scene in the Buoyancy Band: trumpeter Percy Pursglove from Birmingham, Hammond organist Kit Downes from London and Leif Berger on drums.

Pablo Held appears as a narrator, he paints his dream pictures, plays his own compositions, presents his very own versions of his favorite pieces from various musical genres and combines the expressiveness of jazz with the sound culture of European classical music and the characteristics of other musical genres, regardless of their origin. Everything has an intense effect because everything he hears is assimilated and transformed. His art is enriched by beauty and truth. His secret: Pablo Held plays obliviously and at the same time knows what he is doing.
