Overcoming Trauma – Celebrating Queerness

In the organizer's words:

Overcoming Trauma - Celebrating Queerness

The empowering drag show that connects - by part-time princess Linette and Athena Owls.

Trauma - this psychological term is on everyone's lips. Be it exclusion, violence and family conflicts or mental health problems. As queer people, we experience these all the time. However, we have developed different ways of dealing with them. We use drag as an art form to bring our issues to the stage and show ways of dealing with them together. Our community is very resilient and creative when it comes to coping with life under difficult conditions. Whether "Chosen Family", "Queer Joy" or making art - the ways are as diverse as we are.

With local drag artists Lili Alexander, Madison Overdose, and Lava Eruption, as well as Jaguar the Red from Dresden, we bring an empowering and emotional program to the stage. We keep asking: How can we heal ourselves? How can we survive dark times and emerge stronger?

There will also be an infotainment talk with psychotherapist and drag artist Gabriel Gottschald aka Jack Synthetic on the topic of "Mental Health in the queer community". How can we take care of our mental health and stable relationships in these times? What actually is trauma and what is neurodiversity? We will explore these questions together.

We invite all people who see themselves as queer and all allies to experience queer stories in a safe space, to celebrate and live out our queerness together with us. Lets overcome this trauma and celebrate our queerness!
