In O.R.PHEUS FRAGMENTS , a fictional advertising campaign promises eternal youth and immortality through to virtualization. The mixed reality installation by XR pioneer Evelyn Hriberšek is a critical and, in view of generative AI, highly topical commentary on the human urge to overcome all boundaries by means of technological innovations - regardless of the possible consequences for our society and the planet.

O.R.PHEUS FRAGMENTS shows excerpts from the visionary Gesamtkunstwerk O.R.PHEUS, which was premiered in 2012 in a 1000m² underground clinic from the 1950s in Munich. The hybrid mix of music theater, art installation and real-life game has won numerous awards and has been recognized by the German government. As one of the world's first multi-sensory XR environments, O.R.PHEUS combined real, walk-in spaces with augmented reality and haptic-sensory experiences to create an immersive borderline experience.

O.R.PHEUS anticipated scenarios that seem to be becoming our reality through the trans- and post-humanist endeavors of Silicon Valley. O.R.PHEUS FRAGMENTS continues the journey through time into possible futures. The interactive format between preview and exhibition was first presented at THEATER DER WELT 2023 and will premiere in Munich in 2024 at the International Puppet Theater Festival WUNDER.

The Munich premiere of O.R.PHEUS FRAGMENTS is supported by the Verband freie Darstellende Künste Bayern e.V. as part of the resumption funding of the "Förderpaket Freie Kunst 2024" with funds from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and takes place in cooperation with the International Puppet Theater Festival Wunder.
