The four likeable guys from Franconia, former members of the punk rock bands TAXDODGERS and POLECATS, have put their distortion pedals to one side to strike a more soulful note in the American folk tradition. However, this does not mean that their music is any less energetic. Their punk rock background still influences their songwriting and can be clearly heard in their songs.

The varied and creative songwriting harmonizes well with the witty lyrics about the pursuit of freedom and great love. In fact, ONE CHORD LEFT sound like traveling poets of the Beat Generation in the footsteps of Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady. With plenty of new songs in their luggage, they bring a feeling of wanderlust and a thirst for adventure directly to the stage.

The band used the coronavirus break to complete their debut album "Typewriter Beat", which was released on May 28, 2021. It contains 14 songs that attract attention with their catchy melodies and stylistic variety. Tough Magazine sums it up well when it writes: "Strong album where the lyrics may have been written on a typewriter, but the music comes from the heart".
