Guided tour through the special exhibition "ResidenzWechsel. Two museums, one exhibition".

We have all been familiar with the consequences of moving the capital since the German government moved its seat from Bonn to Berlin. The Schlossmuseum Braunschweig traces the effects of a historical change of residence. In the middle of the 18th century, the Dukes of Brunswick moved from Wolfenbüttel back to the principality's largest city - Brunswick.

During the public guided tour, you can find out how the Grauer Hof Palace in Brunswick came into being, what impulses came about in connection with the relocation of the residence and which traces of this period are still visible in the cityscape today!
