New OFF DAYS concert series on August 20 and 21, 2024 in Berlin and Hamburg: Róisín Murphy, Marc Rebillet, Flying Lotus, Peaches, Gossip and ENNY!

On Tuesday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the OFF DAYS concert series will take place for the first time in Berlin and Hamburg. The name is no coincidence: the new concert series has secured two special locations in Hamburg's Stadtpark and the Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin, which are close to the city but also feel like time out thanks to the abundance of greenery. Both venues also have a rich concert history, which will be complemented by a few perfectly curated concert evenings thanks to OFF DAYS. The booking concept for the evenings could basically be put like this: We're bringing together three main acts who get on well musically - and who you wouldn't know who not to call a headliner.

On August 20 in Berlin - and consequently on August 21 in Hamburg - Róisín Murphy and Peaches will be playing. Gossip will be the third band to complete the line-up in Berlin on August 20. Irish pop icon and former Moloko front woman Róisín Murphy will be performing songs from her album "Hit Parade", which she produced with DJ Koze. It is the eighth solo album in a career that has always remained exciting, above all thanks to Murphy's live shows. Her live performances captivate with garish live visuals, colorful, brain-blasting outfits and a singer who masters dance moves that are usually only seen at 5 a.m. in Berghain or in avant-garde theaters. Gossip, who will have released their Rick Rubin-produced comeback album "Real Power" by then, will provide energy between soul, rock and feminist punk. No one needs to be told that Beth Ditto is a charismatic force on stage. The only thing missing from this illustrious line-up is Peaches, who will perform a kind of interactive show on stage - with dancers, stage installations and Peaches' infamous costumes.

The second OFF DAYS evening will also feature eccentric artists. For example, New York-based Marc Rebillet, whose YouTube videos have achieved cult status and amassed hundreds of millions of streams. In clips such as "HOW TO FUNK IN TO MINUTES" and "YOUR NEW MORNING ALARM", Rebillet can be seen improvising electronic music and vocals in his living room studio - while wearing more or less fashionable bathrobes. His live shows also thrive on improvisation. He is a "one-man improvised meltdown" on stage, warns his booking team. Who can hold their own in the same line-up alongside this rousing madness? Perhaps only someone like Steven Ellison, better known as Flying Lotus. The Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, rapper and director has created masterpieces between jazz, hip-hop, funk and psychedelic pop with albums such as "You're Dead" (2014), "Cosmogramma" (2010) and the soundtrack to the anime series "Yasuke" (2021) and will be presenting a special LED show at OFF DAYS. Anyone familiar with his film work and music videos can expect great visuals. The third artist of the evening in Berlin is a newcomer with headlining qualities: ENNY was not on the prestigious "BBC Sound Of 2022" list for nothing and is considered one of the most exciting female rappers in the UK, which is not exactly short of exciting female rappers. Tracks such as "Same Old", "Culture" or her current "We Go Again" EP groove elegantly and astutely between jazz, gospel and rap.
