The German rapper is going on a big tour

If you look at Nimo's discography, it quickly becomes clear how high the rapper's creative output is. With more than 4 million records sold, millions of streamed singles, 6 EPs, 2 mixtapes, three solo albums and a collabo album with Capo, Nimo has become an integral part of the German rap world. In 2016, he was named "Best Newcomer National" at the Hiphop.de Awards. In 2017, he received awards for "Best Rap Solo Act" and for the song "Lambo Diablo GT" with Capo as "Best Song National". His song "Heute mit mir" (over 130 million streams on Spotify) from the 2017 debut album "K¡K¡" entered the German album charts at number 4 and was also a hit in Austria (number 3) and Switzerland (number 6). His second album "Nimoriginal" also followed on from this success and reached number 4 in Germany. In 2020, he co-founded the Moonboys Entertainment label and released his third album "Moonboy" in 2022 , which again entered the charts in Germany (number 17), Austria (number 15) and Switzerland (number 14) with top 20 placements. In February, Nimo will embark on an extensive tour of seven shows in Germany and one show each in Austria and Switzerland.

Nima Yaghobi was born in Karlsruhe in 1995 to Iranian parents. While he went to school and initially spent his afternoons playing soccer and riding his bike, he developed criminal tendencies that quickly got him into trouble. He was sent to juvenile prison at the age of 15, where he came into contact with the album "Music And Me" by Nate Dogg, which sparked his love of music. When he was released in 2014, he started making his own video clips with his smartphone showing him rapping and sent them to Celo & Abdi, who then signed him. With his first mixtape "Habeebee", Nimo2016was already able to play his way into the charts and reach number 10 in Germany. The hip-hop magazine JUICE featured him on the cover as "Deutschrap's future" at the beginning of 2017, while songs such as "Flouz kommt Flouz geht", "Nie wieder" feat. Celo & Abdi, "Bitter" and "Leck Sibbi" quickly made Nimo famous throughout Germany. In his sound, he combines Arabic sounds with German rap and modern beats, which are further deepened on the album "K¡K¡" released in 2017. The rapper reached the next milestone with his mixtape "NIMORIGINAL", which contains two of his most successful hits: "Kein Schlaf" reached number 1 in the German single charts for the first time in 2019 and was also able to build on this success in Austria (number 2) and Switzerland (number 3). In Switzerland, only the single "Karma", which reached number 2, was more successful. His mixtape "Steinbock", released in 2020, landed two more hits with "Trendsetter" feat. Rina and "Nur wegen dir", which made the modern German rap sound even more popular during the pandemic. In 2022, he released the album "MOONBOY", which marked a newfound independence with the founding of his own label and landed further hits with "ZART" and "BAD EYEZ" feat. His latest EP "Jung & machen Geld" was released on July 12 and confirms the enormous musical output that Nimo has had since the start of his career.
