At the age of 25, Nick Martin buys a one-way ticket to Mexico. The plan was to travel the world for a year, but in the end it turned into six years. He travels to almost 70 countries on five continents, is shot at, robbed, arrested, sails through a hurricane in the Pacific, works as a smuggler and earns a few dollars as a stripper in Las Vegas. It's the coolest gap in his résumé.

With a one-year plan, 20 kg of survival luggage and naïve curiosity, he sets off. What follows is a wild journey around the world, which Nick Martin recreates on stage with a large dose of humor, passion and countless pictures and videos. It is an interactive show that sometimes makes you think and often makes you laugh. And it is the antithesis of the classic slide show - if you are expecting pretty pictures of flowers and sunsets, you have come to the wrong place.

Nick Martin, born in Würzburg in 1986, quit his sales job in 2010. Since then, the world has been his home. As a travel gourmet with heart and soul, he likes to conjure up his favorite dishes from all over the world on his plate. In a quiet minute, he likes to sit on the beach with a coconut and cherishes every sunset, which he can enjoy to the soundtrack of Bob Marley and Jack Johnson. Nick is the founder of Travel University: an interactive online platform for planning and implementing long-term trips. With his adventure show 6 Jahre Weltreisen - die geilste Lücke im Lebenslauf (6 years of world travel - the coolest gap in your CV), he has already appeared on the big stages of Europe as an inspirational speaker. In 2018, he was honored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy as a cultural and creative pilot.
