Video evening as part of the prologue to VIDEONALE.20.
Touching without touching: At the center of this VIDEO EVENING is "Nazarbazi" (in German: Spiel der Blicke). In a collage of film excerpts from Iranian cinema after 1979, in which the touching of women and men is forbidden, Maryam Tafakory finds an impressive aesthetic form of expressing love and desire in the face of censorship. Anke Mebold and Paul Wolff Metternich invite you to this VIDEO EVENING in their cozy living room. Following the viewing of the film and the moderated discussion, we will have a picnic together in the living room.

The VIDEONALE is one of the world's oldest festivals for video and time-based art forms.

From April 11 to May 18, 2025, the VIDEONALE celebrates its 20th anniversary edition at the Kunstmuseum Bonn. In its prologue, selected video artworks will be presented in the form of video evenings before the start of the festival.
