`Dreaming Alcestis´ von Beatrice Gibson: Prolog zur VIDEONALE.20 - Festival für Video und zeitbasierte Kunstformen

In the organizer's words:

VIDEONALE.20 - Festival for video and time-based art forms (April 11 - May 18, 2025)

Video evening as part of the prologue

Anke Mebold and Paul Wolff Metternich invite you to view the work "Dreaming Alcestis" by Beatrice Gibson together in their cozy living room, followed by a picnic.

A seemingly everyday situation is interrupted by something unusual:
A woman and a man find themselves asleep and dreamwalking in their apartment while their children play at their feet between moving boxes. They discover a snake on the floor.

Made at the time of Beatrice Gibson and her family's move from London to Palermo in 2021, this experimental film provides an insight into a seemingly everyday situation while at the same time creating a dream space that explores how people deal with unplanned, uncontrollable events.
