Musikfestival: Maria Ioudenitch. Stanislav Ioudenitch - Duo-Expedition

The up-and-coming young violinist Maria Ioudenitch and her father, the pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch, are not only closely connected as a family, but also maintain an intensive musical exchange. Beginning with Beethoven's last violin sonata op. 96, they then turn to Ravel's violin sonata, whose middle movement, known as "Blues", has a jazz-inspired twist. After the enchanting music of the Boulanger sisters, Nadia's song "Soleils Couchants" for violin and piano and Lili's dreamy Nocturne and solemn Cortège music, father and daughter move on to Bartók's first violin sonata, in which the tonal framework is quite crunchy - just like in real family life sometimes.
