Music 4 Lebanon & Palestine

In the organizer's words:

It’s time to show up, Berlin! As crisis continues in Lebanon and Palestine, and will only continue to be exacerbated by Trump's presidency, it’s time for us to come together again.

We are hosting a solidarity music fundraiser to raise money for emergency grassroots funds that will directly support underserved communities in Lebanon and Gaza. Some incredible Arabic and Irish folk musicians and DJs will join us to play at Crack Bellmer in Friedrichshain. You'll participate in an art raffle to win pieces by Lebanese artists, and there will also be food for purchase. Hang with us all day!

Berlin is home to one of the largest Palestinian and Lebanese communities in Europe, so let’s show up for our neighbours, come together, and support them through solidarity and community. See you there. (AND LET'S RAISE SOME MONEY!!!)

All donations, raffle and food sales will go to the following grassroots programs. !!!Please bring cash or PayPal!!!! This helps us avoid transaction fees that ultimately go to corporations instead of towards the cause.

Lebanon: EMERGENCY RESPONSE COALITION: VOICES OF THE UNSEEN

As the escalation of violence on Lebanon continues already amid a deep economic crisis and collapsed government - marginalized groups of migrant workers, Syrians and Palestinians in Lebanon are particularly at risk. Migrant Workers are trapped under the highly criticized Kafala legal System and abandoned by their employers, unable to access shelter, or being forced to stay behind in areas where Israel is actively bombing. Syrians and Palestinian refugees - who make up more than 1/4 of Lebanon’s population - don’t have the same access to humanitarian aid. This Community Coalition Campaign led by 10 different grassroots organisations in Lebanon is offering shelter, food, medical aid and other critical essentials for overlooked groups.

Gaza: Yahya & Friends:

Yahya & Friends is a mutual aid program focusing on getting critical essentials straight to the people of Gaza. Their current goals are to get food, water, shelter, urgent medication and baby essentials for Gazans in Gaza, as well as recently evacuated Gazans in Cairo. The program has been running for the last 12 months and has helped to deliver food to more than 200,000 people, working with individuals such as Hossam Waill in the central region, Tareq J and Hema the chef in the south, and journalist Fadi W in the north.

You can find live updates and a detailed breakdown of how funds are being used in their telegram group.
