MuSaMe On Stage: Stefan Schwaab/MALE (acoustic/punk)

Stefan Schwaab is guitarist and founding member of the legendary Düsseldorf punk rock band MALE.
He can look back on a long career as a guitarist - and part-time singer - with various
Düsseldorf bands, with many releases and concerts:
MALE, Freunde der Nacht, Alright Brothers, the Blah Blah, the 95s, Cashbar Club ... and always MALE.
He is currently working on a new band project and is in demand as a guitarist for productions.
The MALE acoustic set was created in preparation for the 2021 edition of Rüdiger Esch's Electricity Conference at Ratinger Hof.
Since then, Stefan has been playing selected gigs in which he presents acoustic cover versions of songs by his favorite bands alongside MALE classics.
About MALE:
MALE was the first punk rock band in Germany, featuring Jürgen Engler (Die Krupps) among others.
The debut album "Zensur & Zensur", released in 1979, was the first all-German punk album and is now considered an influential impulse for the early German punk scene. The album was re-released in 2020. MALE formed at the end of 1976 and played their first gig in the auditorium of Düsseldorf's Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium on March 7, 1977.
