With a voice that goes straight to the heart and songs that tell stories full of intensity and depth, Murdo Mitchell from Glasgow is increasingly making his mark on the international music scene. Following the acclaimed success of his debut EP "Stay Nocturnal" (2021), Mitchell returned with "Ghosts". The single showcases Mitchell's ability to turn darkness and brooding into song. Ones To Watch describes the song as "a haunting piece that tells a story all of its own - one in which pensiveness and melancholy become beautiful music that resonates for a long time". He took the next step with the album "Aztec Jewel", released in 2023. It's an album that should finally establish Murdo Mitchell as one of the most exciting new voices on the British singer-songwriter scene.

Mitchell's fanbase is growing steadily and his shows speak for themselves: his first London headline show at St Pancras Church in November 2022 was completely sold out, as were many dates on his successful UK tour in April 2023. His festival history already reads impressively: Mitchell has wowed audiences at Scottish scene highlights such as T In The Park, Belladrum, Linlithgow Folk Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has also performed with the likes of Gabe Coulter and Starsailor and in 2022 accompanied his close friend Dylan John Thomas on his sold-out tour. Further high-profile support slots followed in 2023, including for Far From Saints in Leeds and Glasgow. And with his first own UK headline tour in April of the same year, he set another exclamation mark.
