Wolf "Baba" Hail - SILENT NIGHT

Even though Wolf Hail, who is better known in the music world as Baba, studied jazz and popular music a long time ago, he is primarily known for being a loud musician. Be it as bassist of the AC/DC tribute band We Salute You, which plays concerts all over Europe but has also made several guest appearances in Speyer, or as a multi-instrumentalist and singer in many other bands, with whom he also performs mainly in front of large audiences. The 7-time winner of the German Rock&Pop Award has, after three decades of "loud", now developed a great desire for "quiet". Silent Night does not refer to the Christmas classic Stille Nach, heilige Nacht, but to contemplation in the sense of taking a deep breath and shifting down a few gears from time to time.

His two-hour guitar program does have a Christmassy feel to it, in keeping with the cold season, but you primarily get to hear compositions by Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and many other great artists. No shouting, no requests to clap or sing along; his guests can simply sit back and listen to his music and versatile voice.
