Mucho Mojo
The early days of electric blues
The band from Würzburg takes care of the time when the blues got the electric guitar! Ancient songs by famous guitar heroes, music from the blues delta, stories from the homeland of Voodoo & Co. and a harp that makes your ears smoke - that's Mucho Mojo, named after the legendary talisman from the land on the Mississippi.
On March 23, 2025 at Keller Z 87, you can hear the honest songs of Muddy Waters, Sunny Boy Williamson II, Buddy Guy, Little Walter, Howlin Wolf and B.B. King again. And no song is younger than 1964 - that's a promise!
Debut in 2009, since then on the road as "conviction offenders". Caution: blues poisoning!
The band's motto: "In blues we trust!"
The band has performed at numerous festivals and in many blues clubs. Singer Robert Cotton was part of Sarah Connor's team on the national TV show "Voice of Germany" in fall 2021.
Earl Grey
"Le(t)s Paul"
Earl Grey presents the blues-rock protagonists of the Gibson Les Paul guitar under the motto "Le(t)s Paul". The trio was founded in 2010, so there will be a small anniversary to celebrate on March 23 at Keller Z 87.
On "Earl Grey" , Conny Martin's Lemonburst Les Paul meets Steffi Gerhard's dynamic bass and vocals, sounding somewhere between the blissful Steve Marriot, U2's Bono and Phil Collins. Johny Mitnacht 's varied drumming provides the right rhythm. Rock and blues classics by Gary Moore, Peter Green, Mick Ralphs (Bad Company) and others are served up with the vibe and spirit of classic Anglo-American rock trios.
In between, there are one or two amusing (guitar) stories and anecdotes about what is probably the best-known electric guitar besides the Fender Stratocaster.
Steffi Gerhard: vocals, bass
Conny Martin: guitar
Johny Mitnacht: drums
