The Moyn Festival high up in the north says goodbye to the deep south once again and sends ni:vek and Laxberger along as music ambassadors. The former used to play drums in numerous bands, covering all genres from jazz and funk rock to pop rock and experimental hardcore. In 2006, he was increasingly wooed away by electronic music and gradually became a familiar face in the club context, especially after joining the Ketoga network. His sound is definitely psychedelic and driving, but also emphatically melodic in between, so that even hesitant outsiders can't help but join in the dancefloor hustle and bustle.

Laxberger's sound is complex and not easy to pin down or put into the famous genre pigeonholes. Somewhere between sprawling minimal spectacles, precise tech house cuts and basses that explore endless depths, he keeps his listeners in a time warp. His hometown of Dortmund and the noticeable influences from his hip-hop background have audibly shaped his style. His sets are variable, open-minded and full of exciting contrasts. In a way, he uses music as a therapeutic tool to leave his chaotic world of thoughts behind for a few hours. His maxim: See you on the floor!
