The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is celebrated on the full moon day of the eighth month according to the East Asian lunar calendar. It is a family festival where people enjoy moon cakes, give presents to their children, parade through the streets with lunar lanterns, perform dances and contemplate the beauty of the moon on excursions and picnics.
Vietnamese artists and associations organize the day at the museum.
