In the organizer's words:

"Sounds that glide through space and time" is how Gloria Coates, Munich by choice and grande dame of contemporary music, once described her work. Groundbreaking: the symphony "Music on open strings", which the MKO recorded on CD in 2022 in the presence of the composer. The soloist in the orchestral song "Wir tönen allein" is Jessica Zara, who is celebrated for her energetic interpretations. In between, this "Songbook" under Nacho de Paz features two composers of the younger generation: Clara Iannotta, who has already composed for the MKO - her piece "Memory jolts" plays with the remembering and forgetting of sound; and the Slovenian Nina Šenk, whose string orchestra work "Chant" will unfold great pulling power.
