The 80s musical with live band!

The 1980s are back! Also for Katrin, called Kara, who sang the big hits back then together with her boyfriend Jan in the cover band "Karajan" - from "Major Tom" to "Take on me" and "Sonderzug nach Pankow". Her heyday as a singer is now a long time ago. But now Patrick, the boyfriend of Katrin's daughter Julia, wants to reopen the legendary music club PLOY. It would be a real hit if Katrin and Jan could perform together again after all these years with a newly formed live band. But Katrin doesn't really want to. Apparently there are a few shadows from the past that are catching up with her. Her relationship with her former lover Jan and her daughter is under scrutiny, while at the same time Patrick is making every effort to make the club opening and live concert a huge success.

"Mit Vollgas in die 80er" is a fast-paced musical journey through time that takes a winking and profound look at the crazy decade between the Cold War, Rubik's cubes and mullet hairstyles from today's perspective. DAS SANDKORN is collaborating with the Helmholtz Music High School and students from the Karlsruhe University of Music to bring the live band "Karajan reloaded" to the stage.
