Lisa can solder computers from scrap metal and spends her evenings searching space for extraterrestrial life with the help of an astro program. Her interest in life on other planets is also due to the fact that Lisa doesn't have it easy on ours: She is shunned at school and at home the center of her parents' lives has shifted to the sofa since they lost their jobs. But one night a spaceship actually lands in the woods behind Lisa's house. The aliens only take a brief, disgusted look at the earth before they head back home in a hurry. But during this hasty departure, one of them is left behind: Klakalnamanazdta, known to Lisa as Walter for short. Without further ado, Walter takes Lisa by the hand and starts to clean up her life.
