ÔSS marks the Creole word for"bone". As physical architecture , bones structure and support the soft and fragile elements of the body. And at the same time,ancient secrets are inscribed in the bones.

For this extraordinary project , the inclusivedance companyDançando coma Diferença from Madeira/ Portugal, under the artistic direction of Henrique Amoedo, is collaborating with the exceptional choreographer Marlene Monteiro Freitas. Together they create a kind of collective body on stage in which the organs arerearranged and take on new functions: When a foottakes on the function of the brain, the heart serves as an elbow and the knees represent a liver and an ear, perhaps new perspectives on the world become possible again.

Theresult is a unique performance full of secrets and contrasts, in which the soft and the hard, the yielding and the resistant exist together without contradicting each other. In this sense , the clinicallycold stage space, which could just as easily be a laboratory as a cruise liner, is filled with the warmth of the performers. They seem carefree and exuberant and at the same time it sometimes seems as if the whole of humanity has gathered on this stage.

ÔSS is a wild evening full of dances, rituals and small gestures. Powerful, dreamlike sequences alternate with grotesque humor and touching moments of fragile tenderness. ÔSS also marks the return of Marlene Monteiro Freitas to Munich. Pieces such as Mal- Embriaguez Divina and Bacchae- Prelude toa Purge were co-produced by the Münchner Kammerspiele. Together with the Münchner Kammerspiele , the International DANCE Festival Munich is now presentingÔSS. The evening will be offered with audio description.
