Magnus Mehl-Quartett "Upside down and in between" - Jazz

In the organizer's words:

The program "upside down and in between" opens up extremely multi-layered worlds of sound, which are explored by six very individual musical personalities in changing line-ups.

Within a compositionally created framework, each of the instrumentalists involved is given a great deal of freedom for exciting improvisations and spontaneous interaction. At times, the players also communicate with each other completely freely within the framework of miniatures.

Magnus Mehl's music creates very personal and unique moments and four soloists merge into a sound collective in an impressive way.

In the current program, the ensemble moves between refined composition and imaginative improvisation, between massive density and sparkling transparency, as well as between lyrical melancholy and gripping grooves.
