Sebastian Mygo has been touring the stages of northern Germany for 25 years. He has gathered many impressions and experiences in the process, including as support for Justin Sullivan (New Model Army). Thoughtful, introspective, but also socially critical lyrics and catchy, versatile songs in the wide field between folk and rock characterize him. In his own songs, the singer/songwriter from the southern Lüneburg Heath combines influences from songwriters such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Billy Bragg with the alternative rock of REM, New Model Army and Frank Turner.
The choice of topics is wide-ranging. Many of the lyrics look inwards at points that hurt. Others deal with social issues, be it the rise of right-wing extremism in this country, unemployment, the pandemic and isolation or the abysses of working life. Hope and optimism also play a role in the musical snapshots that now comprise four albums.

In addition to his own songs, Sebastian Mygo mixes legendary classics from 50 years of rock and pop history with hidden gems from his heroes' catalog. He puts his very own stamp on many songs. A varied evening with music that makes you think, but also dance, is guaranteed!

Free admission. Just come along and enjoy good music and good conversation with acquaintances, friends and strangers, or maybe even a little dance!!!?
Don't worry about Bremen's shietwetter, if it rains too much we'll just move to the Lieblingscafé. The Lieblingscafé will also offer a special snack menu on the evenings of MAASSKULTUR, so you can enjoy your evening meal on site.
Enjoy a few hours of music in a relaxed atmosphere on our (hopefully always summery) square with musicians and bands from a wide variety of genres. And if you like it - musicians love spotlights - then you are welcome to leave something for the musicians and bands...
