Luuk Brantjes & Kolja Huneck: Symbiosis

Two circus artists, two styles, one performance experience. Symbiosis is a contemporary circus diptych created by Munich-based artist Kolja Huneck and Dutch artist Luuk Brantjes. Symbiosis delves deep into the tension and balance between humanity and its natural environment. The artists each embark on their own path within a surreal universe, exploring how humans relate to the ephemeral world around them.

Juggling and acrobatics merge into a surprising choreographic dialog between artists, objects, material and space. The specially constructed dome tent becomes a stage space in which these elements flow into one another. In Munich, Symbiosis takes root on Mariahilfplatz and invites the audience into an immersive world with its own laws of nature.
