In a conservative Bulgarian mountain village where many prejudices prevail, an intense summer romance develops between two young men from very different worlds.

Victor is actually living a happy life in Madrid with his partner Jose. However, he returns to his Bulgarian home village for his grandfather's funeral and decides to spend the summer there. As he gradually reconnects with his father and the village lifestyle of his homeland, he suddenly finds an unexpected love in Liuben, an 18-year-old Roma boy, and despite their differences and the many conflicts around them, Victor and Liuben find refuge and security together. But does this love have a future?

LIUBEN is the first official LGBTQ+ film from Bulgaria.
