Livia catches the wind: she is the fastest at running, at least until the day she falls. She has a happy family, a best friend, two beautiful eyes and all - really all - the desires appropriate to her age. But there is a blind spot in her eyes, a darkness that can become impenetrable in the evening: pinprick tiny things suddenly disappear and she has no choice but to act by ear and take whatever's happening with her. Of course, it takes a bit of carelessness (and a lot of attention) to be able to live without seeing properly. But we can choose not to give up, both as teenagers and as adults. A captivating, engaging debut novel, carried by a deep, vivid power on every page.
Greta Olivo lives and works in Rome, where she was born in 1993. She published her novel "Spilli" with Einaudi (2023), which won the Premio Flaiano and the Prix du premier roman étranger 2024 in France.
