With her brand new solo project, singer Daria Assmus sharpens our senses for the big and small contradictions of our time. Her hopeful songs carry weight - they draw us in, drive us forward, make us think without overwhelming us. The lyrics strike at the heart, shed light on what is missing and at the same time celebrate what is already there.
But what does hope sound like when it's blasting through the amplifier? Ria Rausch, the Cologne-based singer's new project, which celebrates its debut in January 2025, provides the answer: a mix of neo-soul, funk and a pinch of techno. Her German-language songs are declarations of love for life and the tireless will to change things.
