Lights, light installations and music immerse the park in a multi-colored ambience.
The cities of Leipzig and Markkleeberg invite you to the popular Festival of Lights in agra Park on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Thanks to numerous illuminations, guests can expect a magical experience from 5 pm.
The White House will be illuminated by impressive projections in a floral design, while illuminated figures will serve as charming photo motifs. Musical acts will perform on three stages to culturally enrich the balmy late summer evening. Andreas Güstel from "Be-Flügelt - die Extrempianisten" will perform on the illuminated natural stage, "Eddy Soto" on the Musentempel and the Leipzig jazz and alternative pop ensemble "Lyn&TheFingers" on the terrace stage.
The last ride of this year's "Stadtradeln" (www.Stadtradeln.de) will traditionally be the light ride from Lake Cospuden to agra Park. Together with the Stadtfanfarenzug Markkleeberg, the cyclists will collect the last kilometers of this year's "Stadtradeln". After arriving at agra-Park, the cycling movie theater in front of the German Photo Museum will show the film "The Beach - Animals from the Holiday Paradise" at 10 pm. In the museum itself, there will be hourly guided tours of the current exhibition "Looking into Eyes" with photographer Ron Kuhwede.
The park castle on the Leipzig side of the agra Park will also be beautifully illuminated. DJs will provide entertainment and food and drink will be available. The "Freaks on Fire" will present a light show in front of the park castle at 20:30. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will play along again this year for the balloon glow with "Sachsen Ballooning".
Younger guests can make lanterns on the beech meadow and at the Dölitz gatehouse and join the procession through agra Park.
