Liam Grant (New England, USA):
With a punk ethos, the 23-year-old guitarist continues to tell the story of American Primitivism, a guitar music between folk, bluegrass and country blues, influenced by John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Peter Walker, Glenn Jones, Jack Rose and others. An alternation of restless fingerpicking, epic expanses, modal keys and driving uptempo rhythms.
Grant builds bridges to the past by recalling the landscapes where he grew up: the banks of the Merrimack River and Amoskeag Falls. Instrumental memories of great events and personal experiences. "Amoskeag" is the title of his magnificent album, first released in 2023. Now he presents the equally celebrated brand new album "Prodigal Son".

De Vlaamse Primitieven (BE):
Flemish freeform instrumental guitar duo Freek Vreys and Jan Boudart move effortlessly between freak folk, free jazz and a counterpoint style that "(Bert) Jansch would get all quivery in the loins and turn a sober (John) Renbourn back into a proper drunk" (Manfred Tragil).
Their music is characterized by cyclical melody, complex overtone clouds, surrealistic incursions into atonality and 12-tone experiments - open in their ability to defy convention and defy easy classification, De Vlaamse Primitieven are nevertheless decidedly determined.
They shared the stage with acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist Glenn Jones in the earliest stages of the project and have collaborated with Glen Steenkiste (Hellvete), Liam Grant, Dennis Tyfus, Benwa Meneers (Venediktos Tempelboom) and others.
