L'Entourloop: Sampling geniuses
The French collective L'Entourloop's love of raggae and its culture is almost inexhaustible. In 2022, the hip-hop reggae crew led by the two stage characters Sir James and King Johnny presented their latest album "La clart dans la confusion". Produced in the legendary Bandulu Studio, the album contains 20 tracks featuring 27 renowned guest musicians - including The Architect, Ken Boothe, General Levy, Alborosie and Kabaka Pyramid.
Reggae and dancehall-heavy hip-hop beats are their trademark. As true lovers of vinyl and old cinema, the two are in constant search of the ultimate sample. On Thursday, April 17, Sir Johnny and King James will be performing a true declaration of love to sound system culture, reggae, dancehall and hip-hop at Centralstation.
