The transition from secondary school to higher education (and beyond) is an important milestone for young people as it impacts both individual lives and society as a whole, for example by providing a workforce with the necessary skills.
Based on her interdisciplinary research in several countries such as Germany and Chile, Professor Dr. Céline Rojon from CBS International Business School explains at "Wissenschaft im Rathaus" which personal and familial, social and cultural factors can facilitate the transition from secondary school to university, e.g. support from family and friends, or make it more difficult, such as having too high expectations of oneself.

The focus of her work - both in research and teaching as well as consulting - is on topics such as personnel selection and development, performance management, leadership, research methods and intercultural studies (e.g. transitions between life stages).
