On January 7, 2025 , the Insel-Salon invites you to a reading by Laurence Chaperon on the Historic Ship Helene .

Laurence Chaperon is a celebrated photographer and author, known for her impressive portraits of famous personalities. Among other things, she has photographed Angela Merkel for over two decades, creating some of the most iconic images of the Chancellor.

In her new work "A Woman's View", she focuses on 61 extraordinary women, including Christine Lagarde, Iris Berben, Annalena Baerbock, Renate Künast and Margot Friedländer.

In her reading, Laurence Chaperon will take you behind the scenes of these portraits and give you her unique perspective. Look forward to an evening that combines stories and photography in an impressive way!
