The dance ensemble Unusual Symptoms shows excerpts from the production by Samir Akika
An event as part of the Long Night of the Stages 2024.
House choreographer Samir Akika transforms the stage into a catwalk of desires and vanities. A red carpet becomes a playing field for seven dancers, who together take a look at the self-image of artistic work. Inspired by conceptual art and fashion shows, Akika and the dancers blend performative experimentation, artistic activism and the escapist pleasures of late capitalism into a danced happening between desire and consumption.
