Lang Lang was once asked in an interview what he thought about the word genius. He didn't think much of it, the pianist replied. First and foremost, he is happy to be a musician and to be able to bring compositional masterpieces from the past and present to the stage and to people. Creating a connection with the audience through music is his greatest goal in every concert - to create emotions and give something that will be remembered.
