laborART Depot

In the organizer's words:

The central hall of the depot will be transformed into a studio space for students for a week. Under the direction of Ulvis Müller (TU Dortmund University) and Steffen Mischke (artist), they will explore the area around the cultural venue together; the impetus for artistic exploration will be provided by sixth form students from the neighboring Anne Frank Comprehensive School using photographs that they have developed in class under the guidance of David Mellin (art teacher).

Steffen Mischke studied art with a focus on painting at TU Dortmund University until 2015, completed his studies in fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Münster in 2023 and has been working as a freelance artist in Dortmund ever since.

Ulvis Müller has been an artistic assistant in the Painting, Digital and Expanded Painting department at the Seminar for Art and Art Studies at TU Dortmund University under the direction of Prof. Tillmann Damrau since 2020. He studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf and also completed his art studies at TU Dortmund University in 2019.

Presenting progress is a cooperation between the Kulturort Depot and the artistic work area Painting, Digital and Expanded Painting at the Seminar for Art and Art Studies at TU Dortmund University.
