La Yegros: The queen of nu-cumbia is back and announces a new album.

Argentinian singer La Yegros comes from Buenos Aires, where the nights sound like dancehall and electronic bass, but her parents come from Misiones, a province on the border with Brazil and Paraguay, where the balls are filled with the sounds of chamamé, carnavalito and Colombian cumbia. She has fused these influences on three albums and developed them into a special version of nu-cumbia.

Now it's time for a new repertoire. To record her fourth album, La Yegros relies on a successful team that was already responsible for her first album Viene de Mí: producer King Coya, a pioneer of synthetic experimentation in traditional music, and composer Daniel Martín, who knows how to invent melodies to dream to and hymns to sing along to.

For La Yegros, it's not about always doing the same thing and reproducing found sounds. She invents her own folklore by putting together new rhythms and integrating original sounds with bassoon, flute and flamenco guitar, while the urban elements turn dance floors upside down with hints of reggae and funk. She always designs her albums with the live performance in mind. We can expect a fantastic mix in which acoustic instruments meet samples, synthesizers and live electronica.
