La Bohème

In the organizer's words:

The poet Rodolfo, the painter Marcello, the musician Schaunard and the philosopher Colline can barely make a living from their art, but their ingenuity, their youthful recklessness and their idealism allow them to survive. On Christmas Eve, Rodolfo's unknown neighbor Mimì asks for a light for her extinguished candle. Their encounter ends in a passionate declaration of love, but their life together does not work out. Rodolfo is unable to provide Mimì with a better life, her living conditions remain poor. And: Mimì is terminally ill. Only after a few months do they find the strength to go their separate ways, only to come together again - for a brief, final time.
